Crazy little flu bug

Well this week we have been hit with a nasty flu bug. My two little bambinos and hubby were hit pretty hard. :( however, armed with Clorox wipes and a can of Lysol we have survived! I want to venture into making a tapestry afghan tutorial that shows my method of crocheting character afghans. Stay tuned!

All Finished!!! It took 3 Months, and fits a twin bed! I think it's great!

One of the busy projects I'm working on a very late Father's Day project for a good friend of mine, and I just have to share! I designed the pattern myself like the Texas Logo, on StitchPro. It's to have the initials of their 4 children (one in the oven!) and Father's Day 2012 personalized on it. And for those Hawkeye Fans out there, I've included the graph pattern just for you!

Summer Craziness and Babies!

Many, many, many, many, many (did I mention many?) of my friends. albeit mostly from Facebook, are expecting parents. This is making my crochet to-do list very long. One of my closest and dearest friend is expecting a little boy and she, like me, isn't rich. So we are tapping into our amazing creative skills to hopefully design and make everything for baby "Angus" as I have lovingly nicknamed him! Another of my dearest friends just had a girl! And I was able to make such an fantastic ensemble for this Texas Longhorn-loving family that I have set a high bar for myself. Think all of Angus' things will turn out as well?? Blogging. This is totally new to me. I'm not exactly sure what I expect to get out of it really. I know I love to crochet, and I see tons of blogs out there specifically on the subject. So maybe I'll give it a shot. Post some patterns, reference some great designers, promote my new and lagging etsy shop.
So far I'm working on 2 tapestry afghan projects at the moment. But my head is filled with a million ideas, a million things I want to accomplish. Thanks pinterest. I don't know how I will make the time to do all this stuff! Well this should get me started...my first post. Tomorrow, I'll see what comes to mind.
